Hope’s apparatus

To show the maximum density of water, a metal cylinder with two tubulures in the lower and upper part for carrying thermometers is mounted on a base and encircled midway along its length by a gallery for holding a mixture of ice and salt. Temperature of the water is measured at the top and bottom of the inner cylindrical vessel over a period as the water cools. Thermometers not included. Send an Inquiry
